Startup with IDEAs is a brand new competition and it’s opened for all students.

What should I do?

- Find as many participants as possible for ‘Malaysians Got IDEAs’
- In order to achieve your target, you can use any strategies BUT make sure it is not
against the law and all the promotion materials must be downloaded from IDEAs official
website.

What are the benefits?

- Serve as a platform to train your marketing skills
- This is the first step of becoming a successful entrepreneur
- A channel to brush up your promotion skills

When will it take place?

- This competition will be launched on 31st August 2009. The closing date of this
competition will be on 10th September 2009.

What are the procedures that I need to follow when there are people who want to sign up with me?

1. Ask him/her to sign up by filling up the online application form.

Business Mania

Business Mania is the first event of IDEAs 09. It was successfully held on the 8th August with over 100 students of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.

In the Business Mania, students from different faculties had a chance to become an entrepreneurs. At first, they were grouped into several teams. Each team acted as a company, have to decide which kind of services or products they were going to provide for the customers and how much they were going to invest on it. At the end of this game, all companies were able to make profit from their products.

All the participants were enjoying the excitement of starting up a new business. Afterwards, there was a stock market simulation game. Each team was provided with the same amount of initial virtual money. In each round, they were given some news about a company and had to decide how much to invest on the shares of the company. Moreover, they were provided with some investment knowledge and tips during the game.

IDEAs09 – Innovative Dreams, Entrepreneur Aspirations is a new initiative that is started by AIESEC in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) from the year of 2009 which will shed the light of entrepreneurship among the youths.In this era of globalization, entrepreneurial skills are needed to contribute towards the development of our society regardless of field and industry.

Therefore, IDEAs aims to

• expose opportunities of entrepreneurship,

• equip the youths with the skills needed

•provide the stage for youths to apply their knowledge on entrepreneurship

All IDEAs’ objectives are heading towards one vision that is, Living Entrepreneurship, Achieving Dreams!
